CVS Health is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Remote Pharmacy Technician to join our growing team. In this role, you will support pharmacists in the preparation and dispensing of medications, manage prescription data, and provide exceptional service to our patients—all from the comfort of your home. Key Responsibilities

  • Assist licensed pharmacists in reviewing and processing prescriptions.

  • Accurately enter and maintain prescription data in CVS systems.

  • Prepare, label, and package prescriptions for delivery.

  • Perform drug utilization reviews and flag potential drug interactions.

  • Communicate with patients, physicians, and insurance providers to resolve prescription-related inquiries.

  • Refill authorizations and process prior approvals when necessary.

  • Adhere to all state and federal regulations and company policies.

  • Support inventory control and order management processes.

  • Maintain patient confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA regulations.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Active and valid Pharmacy Technician Certification (CPhT) required.

  • Must be registered or licensed as required by your states Board of Pharmacy.

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

  • Strong typing skills (minimum 35 WPM) and attention to detail.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Proficient in basic computer applications and pharmacy software systems.

  • Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and professionalism.

  • Comfortable working independently in a remote environment.

Experience

  • Minimum of 1 year of pharmacy technician experience, preferably in a retail or mail-order pharmacy.

  • Experience with pharmacy systems such as RXConnect or similar is a plus.

  • Previous remote work experience is desirable but not mandatory.

Working Hours

  • Flexible scheduling available with shifts ranging between 8:00 AM – 8:00 PM EST, including occasional weekends.

  • Both full-time and part-time opportunities available.

  • Must be able to commit to a set schedule after training.

  • In-depth understanding of prescription medications and pharmacy practices.

  • Familiarity with medical terminology and insurance billing procedures.
