    About the Role – Bell Attendant

    Probationary Rate: $17.60 Gratuity

    Hourly Rate: $19.46 Gratuity

    As a Bell Attendant, you are often the first and last impression of the hotel. Your presence in the lobby and at the front drive sets the tone for a luxury guest experience. In this role, you’ll offer a gracious welcome, anticipate guest needs, and ensure a seamless arrival and departure—all while upholding the highest Forbes service standards.

    Some of the responsibilities include:

  • Greet and escort guests upon arrival and departure with warmth, professionalism, and confidence.
  • Handle guest luggage with care, delivering to and from guest rooms or designated bell areas efficiently.
  • Open doors and provide assistance to guests and visitors entering or exiting the hotel.
  • Explain guest room features and amenities, including room key use, mini-bar, in-room safe, and valet laundry services.
  • Offer detailed information about hotel services, amenities, and hours of operation.
  • Provide knowledgeable recommendations and directions for local attractions, dining, and cultural events.
  • Arrange transportation (e.g., taxi, shuttle, limousine) and record advance requests when needed.
  • Clearly communicate valet and parking procedures.
  • Maintain a clean and inviting front drive, clearing debris, snow, or litter and reporting maintenance needs.
  • Support concierge services and collaborate with other departments to ensure an elevated guest journey.
  • Be present in the lobby as a polished representative of the hotel brand, ready to assist as needed.
  • Uphold all Forbes Five-Star standards in service delivery.

    Requirements

  • Service-focused personality with a genuine passion for creating exceptional guest experiences
  • Previous experience in a guest-facing or luxury hospitality role preferred
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Warm, polished, and professional presence with a commitment to excellence
  • Excellent knowledge of Toronto’s local area and attractions is an asset
  • Must have a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays
  • Highly motivated and quality-driven approach to service
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work outdoors in various weather conditions
  • Comfortable with constant walking and standing throughout the shift
